In Episode 27 I do my best to answer the question- Does personal development really work? The reason for this episode is that I know there are a lot of people out there wondering and asking this very same question, including some of my own family members 😊 And I completely understand that. If you have never been exposed to the teachings and ideas or maybe you have tried it in the past and didn’t get the results you were looking for, then you are going to question its validity.
So the goal of this episode is to answer this question in a very honest and pragmatic way, despite my incredible passion for personal development.
To help with this, I am using a very difficult experience that Rick and I had to go through this week, like so many other parents including my sister, which was dropping off our youngest daughter at college. Personal development had a lot to do with the difference between the way Rick handled it and I did. Don’t get me wrong- we both cried and we will both miss her something awful.
“Personal development is a major time saver. The better you become, the less time it takes you to achieve your goals.”
We will talk about :
– What I like to compare personal development to.
– Some of the pros of personal development.
– Some of the cons of personal development (because there are some)
– Is it for everyone and can it work for everyone?
My hope is that after listening to this episode you will be willing and open to the idea of using personal development in you own life. The benefits will last a lifetime and will far exceed the amount of time you put into the process.
